Hi @yousef570,

Thank you for responding.

Recover the BIOS using a key press combination

  • Learn how to recover the BIOS using a key press combination.
  • Many HP computers have an HP BIOS Restore tool that might be able to recover the BIOS from an earlier version and restore basic function. This tool might not be able to recover the BIOS, depending on the cause of the corruption.
  • Note:
  • This recovery process is not supported on computers with the HP Sure Start feature.

Hi @yousef570

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are facing issues with your BIOS boot settings not allowing you to enable boot. I would request you to please follow the steps:

BIOS Boot Issues

Access the BIOS Setup:

  • Restart your computer and press the appropriate key during startup.
  • This key F2, F10, DEL, or ESC
  • Look for a message during the boot process indicating which key to press to enter BIOS setup.

Check Boot Order:

  • Once in the BIOS setup, look for an option called "Boot Order" or "Boot Priority."
  • Ensure that the device you want to boot from is listed in the correct order.

Enable Required Boot Options:

  • Move to the "Advanced" or "Boot Options" tab in the BIOS setup.
  • Look for options like "EFI Boot Sources" or "Legacy Boot Sources."
  • Enable the necessary options based on your requirement.

Check for Secure Boot Settings:

  • Look for a setting labeled "Secure Boot" and ensure it is configured appropriately.
  • If you need legacy boot options, you might need to disable Secure Boot.

Save Changes and Exit:

  • After making changes, ensure you save them.
  • There is key or a button at the bottom of the BIOS screen that allows you to "Save and Exit."

Reset BIOS Settings:

  • Look for an option to Reset to Default Settings within the BIOS menu.
  • This option will revert any changes that could be causing the boot issue.

Update BIOS:

  • If the problem persists, check the manufacturer's website for any BIOS updates that may address your issue.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS version if applicable. https://support.hp.com/au-en/products

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Hi @yousef570,

Thank you for responding.

I would request you to please update the BIOS to the latest version available for your system. If the BIOS is already updated, then I would recommend downgrading it to the previous stable version and checking again to see if Secure Boot can be enabled.

  • If the problem persists, check the manufacturer's website for any BIOS updates that may address your issue.

Hi @yousef570

Thank you for responding.

I understand that you currently see only a Windows 10 BIOS version available for your device, even though you are using Windows 11. Please note that, for your model, HP has so far published the BIOS version only under Windows 10. I kindly request your patience while HP works on releasing the BIOS version for Windows 11.
