I have a envy x360 and acquired a stylus pen recently.  However my laptop does not recognize it because the hid compliant pen driver is missing under the human interface in device manager.  According to Microsoft all windows 10 should have that driver present.  Did HP not load it for some reason.  How can I get it installed?

What is your Envy machine ? Many HP Envy machines support pen/stylus. Please check using following examples

It is an envy x360, p/n x7u54ua#aba 15 inch touchscreen.

 

settings, system, about, indicates touch support 10 points.

 

It does not indicate pen support.

 

Why would a touch screen not support pen?
