Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

Hi everyone! I been trying to download Windows 11 on my laptop. So first my laptop is asking to run a health check and soon after the file is downloaded and I try to open it and error message pops up saying " System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" so I don't know exactly what to do as i am the administrator. Anyone please help!

Hi:

You have a couple of problems:

1.  Your notebook's AMD A4-9120e Dual-Core processor does not meet W11's minimum AMD processor requirements of a Ryzen 3xxx series.

2.  You are running W10 in S-mode and you would need to switch out of S mode to install W11 or run any exe file not found in the Microsoft Store.

Here is how you can switch out of S-Mode...

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is (after you switch out of S-mode), you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2.
