Hey there! @busgoose, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I understand you would like to know how to right click when your PC is in tablet mode.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your laptop?
Please provide the product number of your laptop to assist you better.
As you are using a convertible PC when you put the PC in tablet mode the touchpad gets automatically disabled and you cannot use the touchpad.
However, you can try the steps recommended below to enable touchpad when the PC is in tablet mode.
Touch the item with your finger or stylus, and keep the finger or stylus pressed down gently. In a moment, a square or circle will appear, shown in the top, left figure.
Lift your finger or stylus, and the right-click menu appears, listing all the things you can do with that item.
Also, you can enable the touchpad in tablet mode and use the touchpad try the steps recommended below.
The ClickPad's dedicated left and right-click regions give you the same functionality as the buttons on an external pointing device. These regions are enabled and pre-configured by default. However, you can customize how each region behaves in the ClickPad control panel.
Use the following steps to configure the left and right buttons:
Open the ClickPad control panel.
Expand the Buttons category heading.
Select either the Left Button Action or Right Button Action option and then change the action associated with it.
Click OK to close the ClickPad control panel.
Refer this article to know more information about configuring and using the touchpad.
