Hi @Manju1122

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

If Bluetooth is not showing up on your HP ProBook/EliteBook 640, here are a few steps to help you check and enable it:

Step 1: Check if Bluetooth Hardware is Present

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Look for Bluetooth in the list. If it's missing:
    • Expand Network adapters and check for any Bluetooth-related entries.
    • If not found, your device might not have Bluetooth hardware, or the driver may be missing.

Step 2: Install or Update Bluetooth Drivers

  1. Visit the official HP support page:
    HP ProBook 640 G1 Drivers
(Choose your exact model from the list if needed)

  2. Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver under the “Driver-Network” section.

  3. Restart your laptop after installation.

Step 3: Enable Bluetooth in Windows

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  2. Toggle Bluetooth to ON.
  3. If the toggle is missing, the driver may not be installed correctly or the Bluetooth adapter may be disabled.

Step 4: Check BIOS Settings (if Bluetooth still missing)

  1. Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Navigate to Advanced > Built-in Device Options.
  3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
  4. Save changes and exit.

Step 5: Use HP Support Assistant

HP Support Assistant can automatically detect and install missing drivers:
