If advance bellow doesn't work, one may take help of a third-party tool for repair excel file.

With Excel Repair Toolbox you can restore tables in only a few seconds or make the complex analysis of all surface of a disk to find each table, ever on it kept. Even if the disk was formatted if Windows refuses access to it, you can always use RS Excel Recovery for the analysis of a disk and extraction of all necessary tables.

A corrupt excel spreadsheet can be repaired by using Open and Repair technique. It is a built-in repair function that opens a corrupt excel file forcefully. *Open MS Excel > press Ctrl+O > locate corrupt excel spreadsheet and select it. *Click on the arrow shown beside Open button > select Open and Repair. It will take just a few seconds to be completed and selected file will be opened, if possible.
