The keyboard and touch pad are locked (don't) work when the computer is in notebook mode. But when the notebook is folded back to the tablet configeration, then the keyboard and touch pad work (when they are suppose to be locked).
Is there a way to switch from tablet mode to notebook mode so that the keyboard and touch pad function when the laptop is siting like a laptop?

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Here's a good article on tablet mode -- maybe something there will help: http://www.windowscentral.com/what-tablet-mode-windows-10
Good Luck

PLease try the below steps,
1.Click Settings on the Start Menu.
2. Select System.
3. Select Tablet mode in the left pane. A Tablet mode submenu appears.
4. Toggle "Make Windows more touch-friendly . . ." to on to enable Tablet mode. Toggle it off to go to desktop mode.
5. Select "Don't ask me and always switch" from the "When this device automatically switches" menu if you want Windows 10 to switch modes on your 2-in-1 without prompting you.

Hello,
Thank you for posting on the HP support forums.
We have the tablet mode settings which can be altered - When this device automatically switches tablet mode on or off box. Then, select Don't ask me and don't switch, Always ask me before switching, or Don't ask me and always switch.
Kindly refer to the below article which explains the modes in detail.
