Hi:
All 640 G2's have a SIM card slot.
What 90% of them don't have is the WWAN card that connects to the cellular service.
If your notebook has the WWAN card, you would see one of these models listed under the Network Adapters device manager category.
HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module
HP hs3110 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module

Thanks so much for the response. I've been able to check through and it seems as if the WWAN card is not on my system as none of models listed under the Network Adapters device manager category. HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module HP hs3110 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module is listed.
Please how can I get the WWAN card on my system?
Thanks

You're very welcome.
Below is the link to the service manual.

First, open up the notebook and confirm that there are two WWAN antenna cables and a slot to plug the WWAN card into.
See chapter 5, starting on page 42 for the location of where the WWAN card goes.
If your notebook is equipped to install a WWAN card, chapter 5, pages 42 & 43 have the supported WWAN cards with their HP part numbers.
Select one of the cards you are interested in buying and do a search on eBay by the HP part number of the card you want to install.
I believe that you can only buy one of the cards listed in the manual, and it must have the HP part number on it, or it will not work.
