Probably the only solution at this time is to uninstall it and wait for HP to release a new driver. They are aware of the issues many owners are having with this.

Yes sir, We should wait for an update of this software to be released by HP

I presume we will have to keep checking for an update after uninstalling?

What worked for me was :

1) Uninstall HP 3d Accerator in Uninstall Programs

2)Shut down the Laptop or PC ( I didnt click restart)

3) Switch the Laptop or PC back on

4) search Run on Contana

5) Type devmgmt.msc and hit OK

6) Look For unidentified Driver and Right Click on it

7) Click on UPDATE DRIVER

😎 Search Automatically For Updated Driver Software

9) Allow it to search and then Click OK

10) Once installed Click on Shutdown and then switch laptop/pc back on

11) Problem should be fixed.

Just noticed that there was fix available, so installed it and seems OK now i.e. did not get error message when I rebooted.

For some reason the old version must have re-installed itself about a week ago and have been getting the error message despite having previously un-installed the faulty version successfully.
