I have a Pavillion DV6500 laptop. When I launch Google Crome and bring up hp.com, the website appears in Spanish. I All other websites I bring up are in English. I have not changed any preferences in Chrome and since it only appears on the HP site, I am thinking something changed in the HP site for Chrome. Can anyone help me out?

Q
Wyrenut,
Thank you for your input. When I powered up the laptop and brought up Chrome and noticed everything was in English on the HP site. I went in search of the Flag like you suggested and found an American Flag with United States. I made no changes. Infact, while on the the HP site today and replying to your Post, the cursor was placed to the left of HELP like it normally is, ready for text to be typed. As you can see, when I typed the first letter, it just typed over the letter 'H' instead of placing the letter I typed and erasing the line. I am usingAVAST Safety browser now. but the above problem happens on the Chrome Bowser, IE browser and thw Safari browser on my Mac. Also last night I responded to a post before your your post asking if I had tried any other browsers. My post is not shown. I am wondering if the site is performing properly

Hi,
Looks like Chrome can see where you are (using IP address) and redirect to Spanish speaking site.
Regards.

hp.com has an option to change the country/language on its pages.
Look in the bottom left corner for a little link with a flag. If it says "Spain" or "Espana" click it and change it to "United States".

This support site is run by a company named "lithium". It does have occasional bugs, but none like you are describing...?
Since you have marked your own post as the Solution, I am glad we could help!

We report repeatable bugs that happen to many different users to our HP contacts. I know no links directly to lithium for bug reports.
Try clearing your cache, cookies, and History in Chrome. The website is working fine for myself and many other Volunteers here using the Chrome browser.
Make sure you are not choosing a link to the Spanish version of this forum.
Typing this address takes you to the English Support forum: support.hp.com
