hp ENVY Move
Microsoft Windows 11

HP does not recognize ENVY Move 23.8 computer's SN or ProdID or Registration of the computer. I bought the new ENVY Move 23.8 computer direct from HP and it was delivered 36 hours ago. The computer was made three weeks ago, according to HP Support. Despite trying for over 15 hours and some 30 failed phone call attempts to successfully achieve HP Support Help, the computer will not connect to my Network. My ISP confirms that unlimited devices can be added to their 1gb internet plan.

Any help would be appreciated.

@FnBoB, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your ENVY Move 23.8!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP ENVY Move 23.8 inch All-in-One PC is not recognizing its serial number or product ID for registration and is unable to connect to your network, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

Verify Product Details

  1. Check Serial Number and Product ID: Ensure the serial number (SN) and product ID are correct. They are typically found on the back or underside of the computer, on the box, or in the system settings.
  2. Re-enter Information: Sometimes, it might be a typo or incorrect entry. Re-enter the SN and Product ID carefully in the HP registration portal.

Network Connection Troubleshooting

Restart Your Computer and Router:

  • Turn off your computer.
  • Unplug your router for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
  • Turn on your computer and try connecting again.

Check Network Configuration:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
  • Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on.
  • Select your network and enter the password correctly.

Update Network Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager.
  • Find Network adapters and right-click on your network device.
  • Select Update driver and follow the prompts.

I hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
