@joseph20241, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be when your laptop keeps restarting with the Driver Verifier DMA Violation error. Let's work through this step-by-step to resolve the issue.
Disable Driver Verifier (if not already done)
Even though you've mentioned running verifier /reset, let's ensure it's fully disabled:
Boot into Safe Mode:
- Hold Shift and click Restart from the Start menu.
- Navigate to: Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- Press F4 or F5 to boot into Safe Mode.
Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
- Press Windows + R, type cmd, then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter.
Run the following command:
- verifier /reset
Restart your PC normally.
Update All Drivers
Outdated or incompatible drivers are a common cause of this error.
Via HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant from the Start menu. HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Go to My devices > Updates.
- Install all recommended updates.
Manually via Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
- Right-click each major device (especially Storage controllers, Display adapters, and USB controllers) > Update driver.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
To rule out hardware issues:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to enter HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Run the System Tests > Extensive Test.
Perform a System Restore
If the issue started recently, restoring to a previous state may help:
- Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now.
- Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > System Restore.
- Follow the prompts to restore to a point before the issue began.
Optional: BIOS Update
Sometimes a BIOS update can resolve compatibility issues:
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your product number.
- Download and install the latest BIOS (if available).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
