My pc has hp solution framework 2016 (version 12.5.32.11) , it is impossible to uninstal because says I need it for hp.

I want to install new version from the hp web but impossible because of error 3.

I have contacted chat help but no answer other that install and uninstall that is not working.

Any ideas/help?

The error code "-3" typically indicates a problem with installation or runtime configuration. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve it:

 

Uninstall the Old Version (Forcefully if Needed)

  • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  • Try uninstalling HP Support Solutions Framework.
  • If it fails, use the Microsoft Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter:
    • Download it from Microsoft's official page.
    • Run it and select the HP Solution Framework to force uninstall.

Clean Up Temporary Files

  • Press Win + R, type temp, and delete all files.
  • Repeat with %temp%.
  • Run Disk Cleanup and clean system files.

Ensure Required Dependencies Are Installed

  • Install or update:
    • .NET Framework (latest version from Microsoft)
    • Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables (both x64 and x86)

Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily

  • Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall.
  • Try installing the new version of HPSF again.

Download and Install the Latest Version

  • Go to the HP Support Solutions Framework download page.
  • Enter your product: HP 15-fd1000 (917U0AV).
  • Download the latest HP Support Solutions Framework.
  • Right-click the installer and choose Run as Administrator.

Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (Optional)

  • If issues persist, download HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Run a full system check to rule out hardware/software conflicts.
