Step 1: Identify Your HP Laptop Model

  • Locate the product number or serial number on the bottom of your laptop or in HP Support Assistant.
  • This ensures we provide the correct driver for your specific model.

 

Step 2: Download the Synaptics Touchpad Driver

  1. Visit the official HP Support website: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers 
  2. Enter your laptop model or serial number
  3. Go to Software & Drivers → Select Windows version
  4. Look for Driver – Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices or Touchpad
  5. Download the Synaptics Touchpad driver

 

Step 3: Install the Driver

  1. Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions
  2. Restart your laptop after installation
  3. Test the touchpad for multi-finger gestures, scrolling, and sensitivity

 

Step 4: Verify Touchpad Settings

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad to adjust sensitivity, gestures, and scrolling
