Hello,

I work as an IT technician and I'm seeing a lot of hpdskflt.sys errors with Event ID 1001 coming in through many clients.

The errors only happens on HP machines (not only the specific one I tagged).

From what I can tell, none of my clients having this issue are having BSODs as that's the only thing I seem to find online.

Any solutions to this?

Perhaps some HP services I have to disable?

Cheers,

Michael

Hi,

The file has to do with the drivers for HP 3D driveguard.

You could try reinstalling the driver/software package from here:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp84501-85000/sp84595.exe

If you extract the downloaded package you can see that the hpdskflt.sys file is present.

Hope it helps,

David

Update:

1. Reinstalling HP 3D DriveGuard doesn't seem to work.

2. Uninstalling HP 3D DriveGuard still produced errors.

Further investgation required.

Warm Regards,

Michael
