so i installed apps on a external hard drive recently that hard drive crashed and is not working i now have the apps on my la top however i can not  use them and they will not uninstall or re install i got a second external hard drive and would like to install again

Your situation is one of the main reasons I recommend AGAINST installing apps on an external drive -- if it fails, you're hosed.

 

The problem is most likely that, since the Registry hives are STILL on your internal C: drive, they still are trying to resolve keys that they can not find anymore, and that is causing serious problems.  And without the uninstall key, looks like you are unable to uninstall them, either.

 

What MIGHT work is a third-party install/iuninstall tool like Revo Uninstaller  You might be able to get trial version of it.  Suggest you look for that and see what can be done.
