require a driver for tpm2.0

Hi @OldRoadhog,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

For most HP Pavilion laptops, there is no separate "TPM 2.0 driver" to download because Windows includes a built-in standard driver for it. If TPM 2.0 is missing or showing an error, it is usually because it's disabled in the system firmware (BIOS) or requires a BIOS update to be recognized properly.

Please refer to the below link to enable TPM 2.0 on your PC:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enable-tpm-2-0-on-your-pc-1fd5a332-360d-4f46-a1e7-ae6b0c...

Since TPM 2.0 is a firmware-level feature, an outdated BIOS can cause it to malfunction.

  • Go to the official HP Drivers page.
  • Enter your serial number or let HP detect your laptop.
  • Download and install any available update under the BIOS category.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,
