@junaidkhan1, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble with the touchpad on your OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 after some files were accidentally deleted. No worries—I'll guide you through restoring the correct touchpad driver.

Steps to Reinstall the Original Touchpad Driver:

Go to the official HP Drivers page for your laptop model:
OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 - Drivers & Software

  • Select your operating system (e.g., Windows 11) if it's not automatically detected.
  • Scroll down to the "Driver - Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices" section.
  • Look for the Synaptics, Elan, or Windows Precision Touchpad driver listed there (depending on your model's hardware).
  • Click Download, then run the installer once it's downloaded.
  • Restart your laptop after installation to apply the changes.

Additional Tips:

  • If the touchpad still doesn’t work after reinstalling the driver, try checking Device Manager:
    • Press Win + X → Select Device Manager
    • Expand "Mice and other pointing devices"
    • Right-click your touchpad device → Select "Update driver" or "Enable device" if it's disabled.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
