does the HP 15-fd-1010TU have a keyboard backlight?

The 15-fd1010tu notebook does not come with a backlit keyboard.

The parts list shows the top cover with the keyboard.

HP PartSurfer

If the keyboard was backlit there would have been a 'BL' description along with the rest of the keyboard description.

TOPCOVER UMA NSV FPR WITH KEYBOARD SGY US

The 'FPR' indicates the notebook comes with a fingerprint reader.

This link also shows the part number to be a non-backlit keyboard:

Illustrated parts catalog | HP® Support

  • Natural silver, with fingerprint reader, not backlit

Thank you Paul, much appreciated.

Thats another specification i need to check next time i buy a HP.

My 10 year old DELL lap top has a back light.

I thought all new laptops come standard with the back light. I dont why this was removed from this range. Penny pinching by HP i assume.

Many thanks one again.

Take care
