upgraded from windows 10 (factory installed) to windows 11 professional, device manager shows no drivers for "other devices", looking at the property "hardware IDs" it shows a couple of values such as: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1903&SUBSYS_83F9103C&REV_08. Chatgpt says in need to install HP driver sp72719.exe. this should fix most of the ones except for the Retech card reader...
can't find this on the HP download site (actually can't even get to the list of drivers because says this laptop only is not tested with Windows 11... Otherwise the system is working just fine with windows 11....
any help appreciated

Thank you so much for the help (sp101171) - that fixed the issue I was having.
Not to ask too much, but have the last remaining "unknow device" to fix:.
Here are the drivers it is looking for (would you have the patch or .exe);
ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_3400
ACPI\INT3400
*INT3400
thanks again!!

You're very welcome.
You probably need this driver for that device.
Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Client Driver

again, thank you! although when I was installing sp93135, received the message that my current drivers were new than what I was trying to load. So of course I did not install.
could the newer driver currently on the system actually be causing the issue and should I install this one instead. not sure how to back this one out if it turns out creating more issues?
any suggestions on my next step?
thanks
David

You're very welcome, David.
Regarding the device that needs the driver, it can be installed by one of two different drivers.
Given the fact that the sp93135 driver did not install the device, it probably means that the Intel chipset driver is needed to install the device and for whatever reason it did not do so automatically.
So, here is the next thing to try:
Manually install the Intel chipset driver so the device looks for just the driver it needs;
Go to the device manager.
Click on the ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_3400 device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the Intel chipset driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp101171 (if you have not deleted the driver folder).
Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
Everything is telling me you need the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Driver for that device, so if manually installing the chipset driver doesn't work, see if the latest version of the Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Driver I could find for your notebook's processor and chipset works:

thank you so much, have a clean device manager configuration now. after doing a clean install of the OS, updating with the windows update tool, and expert help on the remaining stragglers - my system is running like new, but no bloatware and latest OS.
thank you, thank you, thank you
Now to give new life to my older systems by turning them into Lynix boxes (I love a challenge LoL)
