I've recently got a Pavillion x360 with the Core i5-8250U (product specification) and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to connect my laptop to 2 displays. The laptop has an HDMI port which I can connect to an external monitor. I have also purchased a USB C with an extra HDMI port, 2 USB 3.0 port, and an SD card slot. (The USB C hub I have) I also checked the specification of the CPU and internal GPU, which is the Intel UHD 620, and found out that it does support up to 3 monitors. (CPU specification). I thought it would be pretty easy, I connect the first HDMI to the HDMI port on the laptop and then the second one to the HDMI port on the USB C adapter which is plugged into the laptop and it should work from there. It didn't work hence why I'm here. Do I need a USB A to HDMI adapter or something?

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05734807
It has
- 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s);
- 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only);
- 1 HDMI;
- 1 headphone/microphone combo
The USB type C port does not support video out therefore USB-C to HDMI won't work. All you need is an adapter or a dock/port replicator. Please enter your requirement and it will find for you the one you need on market today.
