Is it typical to have multiple files all having the same name? For example I have a documents folder in Quick access & One drive & This pc and not just a Documents folder, its like all those all have the same file names. Could this be the reason my tiny hard drive is full and about to make me do a fresh install?

Just forget Quick Access area, it ONLY keeps the link, not real files. For others,

  • Documents folder: normally files are on your computer (LOCAL),
  • One drive: It is an offer from Microsoft (with limited free space) for you to store your data on the net (called cloud or similar). It allows you to access your files anywhere, any machine with SAME Microsoft account. You can opt out if you wish.

In short, you can see them on all 3 places.

Regards.

Ok then do you maybe have any idea why other than what came on the laptop new, one drive and office this hard drive is full. ya I know its small to begin with, but its crazy. every file I have is saved to flash drives as well every picture. I actually have nothing saved to the hard drive but I'm like at 97% full
