@Edster59, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your camera was working fine in Microsoft Teams and suddenly stopped on your HP Pavilion 16, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Ensure Camera Access is Enabled in Windows
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are both turned ON.
- Scroll down and ensure Microsoft Teams is allowed to access the camera.
Restart Teams and Your PC
- Fully exit Teams (right-click the icon in the system tray > Quit).
- Restart your PC, then launch Teams again.
Update or Reinstall the Camera Driver
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices.
- Right-click your webcam (e.g., "HP HD Camera") and choose Update driver.
- If that doesn’t help, right-click again and choose Uninstall device, then restart your PC. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
You can also use HP Support Assistant to check for driver updates:
Use HP Presence (if available)
If your Pavilion supports HP Presence, you can configure webcam settings like framing, lighting, and background:
- Open the myHP app > Click Video Control > Adjust settings in HP Presence.
- In Teams, make sure to select HP Presence Camera as the video source.
HP PCs - Configuring the webcam using HP Presence | HP® Support
You may refer to this document - HP PCs - Troubleshoot the webcam (Windows 11 and Windows 10) | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
