The existing fingerprint driver may not be the right one for the latest versions Windows 10.

Shorter Version

Download and Save - Driver

sp100344.exe

Description / Device Information (Open and Read)

sp100344.cva

sp100344.html

Regardless of which driver you want to install,
Uninstall the existing driver.
AND
If you can find (or see) an option to "delete" the driver during the "Uninstall", click to uninstall AND delete.
If you can manage to both uninstall and delete the driver, Restart the computer and log in.

NOTE
Check to make sure your Windows PIN login is still working.
That is, try logging in with your Windows PIN.
Windows PIN is mandatory for using the fingerprint option, so it makes sense to ensure PIN is working for login.
