Hi @om121977,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP laptop is not working properly after reinstalling Windows 11. Let’s go through some steps to check what could be causing this.

Check if the laptop boots
Turn on the laptop and see if it reaches the Windows 11 login screen or gets stuck on the HP logo.
If it’s stuck, a hard reset might help: shut down, unplug, press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds, then restart.

Confirm Windows installation
If you reinstalled Windows 11 but the system won’t boot, the installation may be incomplete or corrupted.
Try booting from the USB installation media again and choose Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Startup Repair.

Install HP drivers
After reinstalling Windows, you need the HP full-feature drivers for your laptop model.
Go to HP Support > Software & Drivers, download your model’s Windows 11 drivers, and install them in order: chipset, graphics, audio, network, and then other devices.

Update BIOS and firmware
Visit the HP Support site for your laptop model and ensure the BIOS and firmware are updated.
Outdated BIOS can cause boot or device issues after a fresh Windows install.

Check Device Manager
Press Win + X > Device Manager and look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark.
Install missing drivers from HP’s website to restore functionality.

Test hardware
Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (usually Esc > F2 on boot) to check memory, storage, and other hardware.
This ensures the laptop itself is not causing the problem.

I hope this helps.
