Hi @Fred1034,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion X360 running Windows 11 isn't entering sleep mode despite your settings, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Update Drivers: Make sure all your drivers are up to date, especially your graphics and chipset drivers. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause issues with power management.
  • Power Settings: Double-check your power settings to ensure that sleep mode is configured correctly. You can access these settings by going to Settings > System > Power & sleep. Make sure the sleep settings are configured to your preference and that they are not overridden by any other power management software.
  • Power Troubleshooter: Windows has built-in troubleshooting tools that can help identify and fix power-related issues. You can access these by typing "Troubleshoot" in the Windows search bar, then selecting "Troubleshoot settings" and running the Power troubleshooter.
  • BIOS Update: Check if there's a BIOS update available for your laptop on HP's support website. Sometimes BIOS updates can fix power management issues.
  • Disable Fast Startup: Fast Startup is a feature that can sometimes cause issues with sleep mode. You can disable it by going to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do, then clicking on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" and unchecking "Turn on fast startup (recommended)".
  • Check for Background Processes: Make sure there are no background processes preventing your laptop from entering sleep mode. You can use Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to check for any applications or processes that might be keeping your laptop awake.
  • Check for External Devices: Sometimes external devices like mice, keyboards, or USB drives can prevent your laptop from entering sleep mode. Try unplugging all external devices and see if the issue persists.
  • Reset Power Settings: If none of the above solutions work, you can try resetting your power settings to their default values. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Power Options > Restore default settings for this plan.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
