Hi @divya29,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your webcam isn’t showing in Device Manager. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this and how to download the driver.

   a. Check if Camera is Hidden in Device Manager
     • Press Win + X → Device Manager.
     • Click View → Show hidden devices.
     • Check under Cameras, Imaging Devices, or Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
     • If camera appears with a grey or yellow icon, right-click → Enable / Update driver.

   b. Enable Camera from BIOS/UEFI Settings
     • Restart your PC and press F10 / F2 / Esc (depends on laptop model) to enter BIOS.
     • Go to System Configuration / Security and check if Integrated Camera is Enabled.
     • Save changes and restart the system.

   c. Run Hardware Scan
     • In Device Manager → click Action → Scan for hardware changes.
     • If still not detected, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and ensure camera access is enabled.

   d. Download & Install Camera Driver
     • Go to the HP Support website (support.hp.com).
     • Enter your laptop model → select your operating system.
     • Under Driver – Camera / Imaging, download the Realtek / HP IR Camera driver (if available).
     • Install it and restart your system.

   e. Update Using Windows Update / Optional Updates
     • Go to Settings → Windows Update → Advanced Options → Optional Updates.
     • Install any available Camera or Imaging Device driver.

   f. Reset Windows Camera App (Optional)
     • Go to Settings → Apps → Installed Apps → Camera → Advanced Options.
     • Click Reset or Repair.

I hope this helps.
