@Dlooney, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding finding your cmd!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you forget the password for your Microsoft account and cannot sign in to Windows, you will need to reset your password using another device:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Recover your account page.
  2. Follow the on-screen directions to reset your password.

Unfortunately, if Windows is asking for a password upon booting, there isn't a direct way to bypass this and access the Command Prompt without providing the password first.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
