New laptop purchased yesterday- should have 12months warranty
Product registered but shows only has 5 months of warranty remaining- no option online to query this.
any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Hi:
HP starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the PC leaves the assembly plant.
So, the longer the PC remains unsold from the date of manufacture, the less time remains on the warranty.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to begin at the link below to contact HP in order to get the warranty start and end dates adjusted.

HP used to have a procedure to do this online, but folks are indicating there is no longer a link to dispute the warranty.
