plugged in, not charging

i recently bought a hp envy touchsmart, when i purchased it was saying battery not detected. i replaced the battery with another battery. now i have the plugged in not charging pop up. i have tried all the stated fixes such as uninstall drivers and re install them also updating drivers. i have also updates the BIOS and the chipset but still no luck. when doing the hp battery test it comes up as a unknown.

You said "recently" -- so is this PC still within the original one-year HP warranty?  

 

If so, You paid for free HP Tech Support as part of the warranty coverage, so you might as well make use of it.

Unfortunately, we are NOT HP Tech Support and we have no way to diagnose or repair your PC, so while this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about troubleshooting and repairing your machine remotely.

I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet to check out the problems.

If they are unable to fix your PC, then you need to explore what options you have to get it replaced under the warranty.

However, if this is a Used PC or is no longer under warranty, your options are a LOT more limited  thus for repair or diagnostics, you would need to contact an HP Repair or Service Center.
