You said you installed Win7, but I'm guessing you did NOT use an HP OEM version, which then resulted in your getting only the generic drivers that MS installs -- which is the heart of your problem.

If you use this link and select the Win7 64-bit drivers, download and install those, your PC should then work much better:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-4730s-notebook-pc/5060893

An alternative is to download and install the HP Support Assistant (HPSA) utility and use it to find, download, and install the HP drivers.  You can get it from here : http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html#.VhKKXD720-V

Good Luck

@Shahroz

Sorry to hear that, as that should have worked.

So. what version of Windows is currently running on your PC, Win7 or Win10?

OK, so with an older Win7-era PC, problems you're mentioning are often caused by a failing hard drive.

To check that, you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu -- that will look similar to the image below ...
HP Startup Menu.jpg
3) press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.

Please report back the test results.
