Hi all,
Just bought this product and I was wondering if there's any way to check if the laptop is actually working at 4 Ghz with turboboost technology, as I tried some old games and they don't run smoothly.
Thank you for the support.

I think you have an extremely nice laptop that should be able to play many games satisfactorily even if it is not optimized for it.
One thing you need to make sure is that you have selected the Geforce 940MX as the PhysX processor in the Nvidia Control Panel before you start the game as I'm not sure all games will recognize it automatically.
I don't play any games myself but I know there is the Geforce Experience app that comes with the drivers you install from the Nvidia site that supposedly lets you do some auto optimization for various games. I have not used it myself just know it exists. I'm sure you can also change the settings manually. Dropping the resolution and selecting less demanding 3D settings from the Nvidia should increase the frame rate quite a bit.
You should probably get the latest drivers directly from Nvidia.
You could also go to userbenchmark.com and check that your laptop runs as expected compared to the peers. By default the test also uses the Intel graphics if the settings are at automatic in the Nvidia Control Panel.

You can see an overview in the Task Manager (hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and select Task Manager). Intel also has a nifty utility for their CPUs to estimate the power usage. It also shows the operating frequency.

Thank you for your answer. I changed the power settings and could see the processor is running near 4 GHz. Still, the games are running as slow as before. It appears the problem is not the frequency of the CPU.
