Hello, I have a problem when installing the Omen Gaming Hub, since at the time of starting it it says that an update is necessary, but whenever it is downloaded it tells me that my network is unstable, I tried uninstalling, changing networks, restarting my PC and nothing seems to work, it is always the same problem, I don't have an HP command center or any application that I think creates conflict.

Hi @alonso11w,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're facing an issue with installing the HP OMEN Gaming Hub due to network instability during the update process. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that might help resolve the problem.
Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
Sometimes, security software (firewall or antivirus) can block updates. Try temporarily disabling your firewall or antivirus and then attempt to install the update again. Just be sure to re-enable it afterward.
Clear the Omen Gaming Hub Cache:
The installation might be affected by corrupted cache files. Here's how you can try clearing the cache:
- Navigate to C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\ and find the "OMEN" folder.
- Delete any files in that folder.
- Restart your PC and try launching the OMEN Gaming Hub again.
Use a Wired Connection:
Since the error mentions an unstable network, try using a wired connection (Ethernet) instead of Wi-Fi. A wired connection tends to be more stable and might bypass any issues with your wireless network.
Install Latest Windows Updates:
Sometimes, missing system updates can interfere with app installations. Go to Settings > Windows Update and ensure that your system is fully updated. Restart your PC after updates are installed.
Run the Installer as Administrator:
Right-click on the OMEN Gaming Hub installer and select "Run as administrator." This can help avoid permission issues that might interfere with the update process.
Check DNS Settings:
Network instability can also be caused by DNS issues. Try changing your DNS settings to use Google DNS or OpenDNS:
- Open the Network & Internet settings.
- Click on Change adapter settings.
- Right-click on your active network adapter, and select Properties.
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
- Choose Use the following DNS server addresses and enter:
- Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
- Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4
- Click OK and restart your computer.

Reinstall HP OMEN Gaming Hub:
If none of the above works, completely uninstall the OMEN Gaming Hub again and delete any leftover files or folders from the previous installation. You can also use the HP Support Assistant to try to download and install the OMEN Gaming Hub directly through it.
Check for Conflicting Software:
Even though you mentioned there are no conflicting applications, make sure no background apps (such as other gaming tools or third-party software) are interfering with the installation.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
