I upgraded my Pavilion Notebook from Windows 7 to 10 over a year ago and have been getting this message ever since. I've seen posts about fixing this on an HP Slate, but the answers don't apply to me. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

Hi! @Omuineog, Thank you for joining the HP Forums!
I understand that you are getting error Failed to initialize viewspanconfiglib library on your PC.
As you mentioned after upgrading your PC to windows 7 to windows 10 you have are getting the error.
Did you install any program on your PC after which you are receiving this error?
How did you upgrade windows on your PC? Did you get an update from HP to upgrade to windows 10 or did you update directly from Microsoft?
Please try performing a system restore on your PC and check if it helps.
Refer this article to know how to perform a system restore.
I'll watch your reply!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Since I upgraded over a year ago, at this point, I've certainly installed some updates. But the problem started right after the upgrade.
I don't remember whether I got the upgrade via HP or Microsoft.
A system restore to that timeframe isn't reasonable.

You've done a remarkable job performing the steps suggested earlier, great work 🙂
And don't worry, as we should be able to fix this up with a few more steps and I'll be with you until we ensure this issue is fixed.
I came across another post of yours and a user has responded with a solution, Just wondering - Have you tried this? on message 12 of 12.
If the above didn't help, I recommend installing all available windows updates and install the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5: Click here to access the link.
Keep me posted,
