Hello HP Community:
I have a new HP ElitebBook x360 1040 G6 (bought in May-20) which doesn't have the battery life I was expecting (I believe it is advertised to be >8 hrs, but not near that). I noticed an "HP Power Manager" application - but when I launch it, I get a message "Power Control is not enabled in BIOS". Can someone help me understand what I need to do to enable it? Or is there something else I can do to get battery life to something closer to what is advertised?
Note: I have turned off HP SureClick, as I find the protection too difficult to work with, i.e. too many pop up messages when going to sites, downloading files/apps. Note that the laptop is pretty clean - I have downloaded relatively few applications, don't download videos, etc.
Cheers, Roger
