If your HP x705w USB drive is write-protected and you want to unlock it, you can try switching the lock on the drive itself. Here's how you can do it.
- Look for the lock switch on the side of the USB drive. This switch is usually labeled with a lock icon.
- Slide the switch to the opposite position. If the switch is in the "lock" position, slide it to "unlock." If the switch is already in the "unlock" position, slide it to "lock" and then back to "unlock."
- Try accessing your USB drive again. If the lock switch was the issue, you should now be able to write to and access your USB drive.
If switching the lock switch does not solve the problem, there may be another issue with the USB drive or your computer's settings. In that case, you may need to troubleshoot the issue further or seek professional assistance.
