You may change extension .rar file to another by using WinRAR, sometimes it solves the problem.

Moreover there is WinZip, it has a lot features, one of it to open .rar files, try it too...

In case nothing helped, only more what I could suggest you it is Recovery Toolbox for RAR, tool powered by many features, like supporting huge .rar archives, you may see all of them in demo https://repairrar.recoverytoolbox.com/

Thank you for showing your interest in the HP Forums,
I’d like to help 🙂

As I understand you are getting the message-"Packed data CRC failed in volume name" while extracting files using WinRAR,

Since WinRAR isn't an HP Product, I don't have any HP Verified solutions for the same,

It is the common issue with 'RAR extraction' that the compressed file does not unpack correctly when there is something wrong in the archived file. Most cases, the WinRAR comes with a couple or few couple of error warnings and NOT extracting the files. In this video, I used a method which tells the WinRAR to just ignore any errors and extract the files even though they are bad or corrupted.

I've looked around, did some research on my own to help you out and here's a YouTube video with details on how to solve this concern: Click here for details.

(The above link is 3rd party and is not owned by HP, I've posted this only so that I may help you resolve this issue by going beyond by support boundaries, please ignore the ads and take only the free/available suggestions)

Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,

that’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!
Good Luck.
