If you want to create special print settings for different forms or purposes then you should install the printer twice.
You mark the first install as the default. On subsequent installs you change the name of the printer and set the defaults you want. For example if you wish to pull from from tray B and print duplex then print name might be changed to 6055_duplex_trey_b
Some useful settings are
- Landscape_only
- black_ink_only (avoid using colored ink for most b&w)
- envelopes_trey_a
This document explains how subsequent installs are performed.
You should prevent windows from managing printers. If you let windows manage your printers, and the last printer was envelopes_only, then if you are not careful windows will router your job to the envelopes_only printer.
