Hi @abhi174,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you want to remove or exit the Windows Insider Program on your laptop, follow these steps:

1. Leave the Windows Insider Program

  • Click on the Start menu and select Settings (the gear icon), or press Win + I.
  • In the Settings window, click on Windows Update.
  • Click on Windows Insider Program from the sidebar. If you don’t see this option, go to Update & Security > Windows Insider Program.
  • Find the option that allows you to stop getting Insider builds. You should see an option like "Stop Insider Preview builds" or "Unlink" your Microsoft account from the Insider Program.
  • Follow the prompts to confirm your choice. You may need to restart your computer to complete the process.

2. Roll Back to a Stable Version

Option 1: Roll Back within 10 Days If you’ve installed the Insider Preview build within the last 10 days, you can roll back to the previous stable version:

Open Settings:

  • Go to Settings > System > Recovery.

Rollback Option:

  • If available, you will see an option to "Go back to the previous version of Windows 10". Click Get started and follow the instructions.

Option 2: Perform a Clean Install If it’s been more than 10 days or the rollback option is not available, you’ll need to perform a clean install of Windows 10:

Backup Your Data:

  • Before proceeding, make sure to back up all your important files to an external drive or cloud storage.

Download Windows 10 Installation Media:

Create Installation Media:

  • Run the Media Creation Tool and choose Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file). Follow the prompts to create a bootable USB drive.

Perform a Clean Install:

  • Insert the USB drive into your laptop and restart it. Enter the BIOS or boot menu (usually by pressing F2, F12, Delete, or Esc during startup) and boot from the USB drive.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to perform a clean install of Windows 10. When prompted, choose to Custom Install and select the partition where the current Insider build is installed.

Reinstall Drivers and Updates:

  • After the installation is complete, reinstall necessary drivers and updates.

3. Reinstall Previous Windows Version

If you have a backup of the previous stable version, you can restore it from a backup. Use the Backup and Restore feature or recovery options available in your backup software.

4. Check for Updates

Once you’ve rolled back or performed a clean install, check for updates to ensure you have the latest stable version of Windows:

Open Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update.

Check for Updates:

  • Click Check for updates to ensure your system is fully updated.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
