Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am running out of disk space on my C drive and I have moved everything that I know I can move safely. Is there other places I can look that I don't know about or is there any bloatware that I can eliminate? My current storage is 220MB and only have 8.5 MB remaining for updates.

Hello,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum !

What is your total HDD/SSD availability/capacity ? May be you mean gigabytes by writing this "My current storage is 220MB and only have 8.5 MB remaining for updates." - could you elaborate ? Is it about HP Elitebook 850 and Win 7 ?

You can use free disk space analyzer software such as the great TreeSize >> http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/

It can tell you which stuff you have on your computer uses the most space.

You can run programs such as CCleaner (www.piriform.com)  or

the built-in Disk CleanUp  to delete unnecessary temporary files

You can move some personal files (e.g. documents, pictures, videos etc.) to external device (e.g USB pen drive  or  SD memory card). Please, do not directly move/cut program files or important Windows stuff unless you are 100% sure what you are doing.

It is GB not MB and it is Window 7.

I did not have much personal stuff on my C drive and what was there I moved to an external hard drive. What is left appears to be things that are needed to operate the PC or updates.  I am stumped.

Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for your help. I installed the CCleaner and that freed up 85+GB. I had CCleaner on my desktop and had to forgot about it. I appreciate your help. K.Minton
