Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
How exactly are you performing the screen shot? I use the "PrntSc" button at the top of the keyboard, then open Paint 3D. (Notice: screenshots are not saved immediately using this button - they are copied into RAM).
After opening Paint 3D, click the "Paste" button. Now the screenshot will appear, and you can edit, crop, etc.

I use "Win+prt sc" to take screenshots. Previously screenshots are directly saved to the "screenshot" folder in the "pictures" folder. But now they are not being saved. When i take a screenshot , i can see a blink of the screen but the screenshot is not saved.
