i keep getting blue tooth connectivity issues, I have changed several blue tooth devices thinking that there is a problem with my headphones.  However now I have purchased a sony wh-ch720N headset, but the problems is it keeps disconnect and reconnecting frequently, which is very frustrating (I face the same issues with my other blue tooth devices). Please help I have run all diagnostics, from the hp - support assistant portal.

Hi @charlottedcruze,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating persistent Bluetooth connectivity issues can be, especially after trying multiple devices and diagnostics. Since you've already run HP Support Assistant diagnostics and the issue persists across different Bluetooth devices, here are a few steps and resources that might help:

Recommended Actions

  1. Update Bluetooth Drivers Manually
Even if HP Support Assistant didn’t flag anything, manually updating the Bluetooth driver can help:
  2. Check for Interference and Power Settings
    • Ensure your laptop and headset are within 1–2 meters.
    • Avoid interference from other wireless devices (Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, etc.).
    • Go to Device Manager > Bluetooth > [Your Adapter] > Properties > Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

  3. Reset Bluetooth Stack
    • Open Device Manager, uninstall the Bluetooth adapter, and restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
    • You can also try running the Bluetooth Troubleshooter:
Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Bluetooth.

  4. BIOS and Chipset Updates
    • Sometimes, updating the BIOS and chipset drivers can resolve low-level hardware communication issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
