Dear all,

when I try to install the sp156212.exe, the error occurs  (at the end of the exctraction): "Failed to extract archive".

Thus, the new Realtek HD Audio Version 23.9764.1633.59 can't be installed.

I downloaded the file sp156212.exe several times, but this hasn't solved the issue.

How can I update the audio driver, please? Thanks in advance.

Kind regards, Jo_Peters

Strange, I just downloaded it and tried installing two different ways.

The package is compressed and needs windows support applications to  unpack.

See if there is file corruption by using the system file checker.

SFC and DISM are both tools that scan and repair corrupted system files. However, SFC uses a cached version of the files, while DISM uses the internet to download and fix the files.
Try the SFC first and if it gives a message that it cannot fix the problem then try the DISM tool.

See if you can use 7.zip to unpack the download.  That is what I did.

Download the 64 bit windows installer here

browse to the download file sp156212.exe and use the "open archive"

Extract the files to your download folder and find and run "install.cmd"
