The split screen issue I've been having for the past two months causes blackouts or causes the screen to go black until I close the split screen. 

I have no idea why this is taking place.

 

I'm also having trouble with my battery draining much more quickly than it used to. It only lasts about 30 to 40 minutes without the charger. 

It occasionally displays a result as "normal battery" when I check that with the HP support assistant or with HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows.
