HP laptop

System updates were downloaded.  When I was ready to power off system,  I selected upgrade and restart.   The updates seem to go normally. In the past it took no longer than an hour. So far it's been updating for 24 hours and says it's at 90%.   Its been at that state for 18 hours.  

 

I'm on Windows 10.

 

There's no option on screen to STOP or CANCEL

 What are my options?

The updates seems to have got stuck in a loop. Have you tried forcefully shutting down the Laptop and rebooting?

 

If the issue persists please perform a Reset https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04742289
