Hi @moiz9,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your keyboard isn’t typing the correct characters based on the physical keys, it might be due to the keyboard layout settings in your operating system. Here’s how to fix it:

For Windows

Check Keyboard Layout:

  • Press Win + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Time & Language > Language.
  • Under Preferred languages, select your language (e.g., English (United States)) and click on Options.
  • Under Keyboards, check the layout listed. If it’s not the correct one, you can add the correct layout by clicking Add a keyboard.

Change Input Method:

  • Click on the language icon in the taskbar (it might show "ENG" or another language).
  • Make sure you have the correct input method selected. You can switch between input methods if multiple are available.

Remove Incorrect Layouts:

  • If you have multiple keyboard layouts, you can remove the ones you don’t use by going to Options next to the keyboard under your language settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
