temporary profile problem

Every other time I login to windows I get a temporary profile.  I went to the registry and found my profile.  I renamed the current one to _new and removed the .bak from the other profile.  That helped somewhat because I was getting the temporary profile quite frequently.  Now, without fail, I get the temporary one every other time I login.  What should I do?

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer is this...

Create a whole new user profile (name it close to what you want).

Make sure you give your new user profile administrator rights.

Then copy and paste the user folders from your current profile to the new one.

Test it out for a while, and when you are satisfied that it is working properly, delete the troublesome profile, and have it delete the user files too, since you copied them to the new profile you created.

Then you can rename your new profile to the one you had originally.
