Hello.. I have a model laptop
HP 15-e2000 laptop since I bought it, I noticed that the colors are opaque and when I go to any other screen they change and it looks good (on another screen). Now I need to work with graphic design and this is harming me. I already went to color manager and used filters to make the colors look more vivid and also color calibration, but the colors still look bad

HI @angeles241090,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with color accuracy issues on your HP 15-e2000 laptop, which can be especially problematic for graphic design work. Here’s a comprehensive approach to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the color issues:
1. Check Display Settings
Adjust Color Settings:
- Open Color Settings: Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Advanced Display Settings: Scroll down and click on Advanced display settings.
- Color Calibration: Click on Color Calibration or Color Management to access additional settings.
Color Management:
- Access Color Management: Go to Control Panel > Color Management.
- Set Default Profile: Ensure that the correct color profile for your display is set. The default profile is usually sRGB IEC61966-2.1, which is standard for many displays.
2. Update Graphics Drivers
Outdated or corrupt graphics drivers can cause color issues. Updating or reinstalling drivers might resolve the problem.
Update Drivers:
- Device Manager: Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Display Adapters: Expand Display adapters, right-click your graphics adapter, and select Update driver.
- Search Automatically: Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts.
Reinstall Drivers:
- Uninstall Driver: In Device Manager, right-click the display adapter and select Uninstall device. Restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
3. Calibrate Display
Proper calibration can improve color accuracy. Use built-in tools or third-party calibration tools:
Windows Calibration Tool:
- Start Calibration: Go to Control Panel > Color Management > Advanced tab > Calibrate display.
- Follow Wizard: Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate your display.
Third-Party Calibration Tools:
- Consider a Calibrator: For more precise calibration, consider using a hardware color calibrator (e.g., X-Rite i1Display, Datacolor Spyder). These devices come with software that provides detailed calibration options.
4. Check for Display Issues
If color issues persist after calibration and driver updates, the problem might be hardware-related:
External Monitor:
- Test with External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the colors look correct on the external display, the issue might be with the laptop’s screen.
Inspect Display:
- Check for Damage: Look for any signs of physical damage or discoloration on the laptop’s screen.
5. Adjust Power Settings
Sometimes power settings can affect display performance:
- Power Settings:
- Open Power Options: Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Select Plan: Choose the Balanced or High Performance power plan.
- Adjust Display Settings: Ensure that the display is set to operate at full brightness and performance.
. Reset BIOS/UEFI
A BIOS/UEFI reset can sometimes resolve display issues:
- Access BIOS/UEFI:
- Restart Laptop: Restart your laptop and press F2, F10, DEL, or another key specific to your model during startup.
- Reset Settings: Look for an option to Reset to Default or Load Optimal Defaults. Save and exit BIOS/UEFI.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
