Re-enable the touchpad in Device Manager and update the Synaptics/Elan driver.

Hi @meholamo90,

Thank you for the response.

I understand your touchpad is not working at all on your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

a. Check if Touchpad is Disabled
 • Press Fn + F5 / F7 / F9 / F11 (depending on the model) to enable/disable the touchpad.
 • Some models have a small dot on the top-left corner of the touchpad—double-tap it to enable it if it's disabled.

b. Verify Touchpad in Settings
 • Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Touchpad.
 • Ensure Touchpad toggle is turned ON.

c. Check Device Manager
 • Right-click Start → Device Manager → expand Mice and other pointing devices.
 • If you see Synaptics/ELAN/Precision Touchpad, right-click → Enable device (if disabled).
 • If enabled, choose Update driver → Search automatically.

d. Restart Touchpad Services
 • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc → open Task Manager.
 • Go to Services tab, find SynTPEnhService or Touch Keyboard & Handwriting Panel Service, right-click → Restart.

e. BIOS/UEFI Touchpad Check
 • Restart your laptop → press F10 to enter BIOS.
 • Go to Advanced / Built-In Device Options → make sure Touchpad/Internal Pointing Device is Enabled.
 • Press F10 to save and exit.

f. Reinstall Touchpad Driver
 • In Device Manager, right-click the touchpad driver → Uninstall device (check “Delete the driver software” if available).
 • Restart the laptop and Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

I hope this helps.
