Hi @DynamicRam,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check Compatibility

  • Since you downloaded a WHQL-certified (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) driver, it should be compatible with Windows 10/11.
  • To confirm, go to Device Manager → Network Adapters → Right-click Realtek PCIe device → Properties → Check current version & compatibility.

Backup Current Driver (Just in Case)

  • Open Device Manager → Right-click Realtek PCIe device → Properties.
  • Go to Driver tab → Click Driver Details → Note down the current version.
  • Click Update Driver → Browse My Computer → Choose Let me pick from a list → Select old driver and click Next (if rollback is needed later).

Install the New Driver

  • Extract the ZIP file you downloaded.
  • Inside the folder, find Setup.exe (or go to Device Manager → Update Driver → Browse to the extracted folder).
  • Follow the installation prompts and restart your laptop after installation.

Verify Installation

  • Open Device Manager → Realtek PCIe device → Properties → Check if the new driver version is installed.
  • Test Wi-Fi & Bluetooth stability to ensure everything works fine.

Roll Back If Needed

  • If anything goes wrong, return to Device Manager → Right-click Realtek PCIe device → Properties → Driver tab → Click Roll Back Driver.

Let me know how it goes. 💙

Hi Kuroi, Thank you for your detailed description ho how o update drivr. Unfortunately I cannot find a Realtek Network Driver. I have looked at all the network adaptors and I could not locate the outdated version . I'm wondering if Norton has diagnosed correct Driver?
